not dupe parts and then undercut the developers? This isn't a conceptual discussion on moralities and such. This really isn't "my" take on it, this is the reality of what is going on and why you catch so much flak here, and likely always will.It likely isnt everything he sells, but on some of the "higher profile" items to the marketplace, has this happened or not? This is the only "?" in the discussion really. You come across like an American politician speaking in abstract terms about tangential points in order to dodge the heart of the matter. As for sharing experiences to be of potential benefit to others....the whole point is everything you "share" with others is "buy AMS, AMS good", but even if all AMS's products are of equal or comparable quality to anything out there (which I am willing to concede for arguement's sake), the fact that some or any are duped parts undercutting the ability for innovators and developers to recoup their initial cost and discouraging future product introductions into the market means that they are NOT of benefit to the community and aftermarket AS A WHOLE. That's just simple logic, any adult smarter than a token idiot can understand this. Are we not in agreeance here? This isn't about hindering diversity, this is about curbing destructive market presences. Coloring it as a "diversity" issue is deceitful and disingenuous, and frankly the precise reason why you are received and treated by others here the way that you are. Why you can't just admit that you care more for your short-term self-gratification than you do about the long-term overall impacts, and quit griping about the treatment you receive for it is mind-boggling to me. I have nothing personal against you. I'm not name calling or have ever ragged on you here, so I don't see why you would assume I am making you out to be a bad guy. I didn't see my text coming across in that way. I thought I was offering a chance a rational discussion here. As for your closing lines....Are you not an educated adult? Do you not understand the basic process of how a product comes into any marketplace? Can you not see how AMS's practice of sending other peoples parts to be duped in China or whereever and then undercutting is harmful to the market? Have you not read the posts of people here involved with product development or personally associated with developers making reference to the climate it has created for the introduction of new items? Are you really going to turn a blind eye to that and say you can't possibly determine what is detrimental to the Z32 aftermarket and what isn't? Come on.... If you care to reply, please just answer the question marks posed to you in this thread. There is nothing for you to convince me or anyone else here of. This is not a gray area. I do not value low prices at the expense of the long-term viability of the Z32 aftermarket. If I can't swing $1200 for manifolds, which I wouldnt, then they obviously arent worth it to me, and I can wait until the prices fall, which they always do. My ego doesnt force me to make purchases that my judgement deems unwise. This is not the case for lots of Z owners whose egos demand that they "keep up with the Joneses". Those are the people who make up AMS's bread and butter along with those who simply are not informed or read up on the matter/history. For you to be upset when people try to inform others and debunk the deceit, even if their style and method of delivery leaves something to be desired, is an error on your part. When you say "AMS good" after being presented with the reasons contrary to that assertion, the only logical conclusions are either A) that you are of the belief that everyone here is in on some sort of "turf war" against you and cannot accept the obvious....or B) you are a part of the deceit, or at the very least complicit in seeing it maintained. Given the premise on which this entire discussion stems from (which if you care to challenge I am all ears) what other conclusion can any rational person draw from it John? I like to think I am as skeptical as most, but I can't see how you can possibly form a different premise for this discussion.
